The short answer is an embosser is a small press that creates an upraised design on a piece of paper. Embossers has many uses, both professional to personal. Professionally, it can be used by notaries, architects, engineers, and corporate officials to validate the authenticity of a document. Personally, you can add a unique touch to letters, envelopes, invitations, books, or gifts.
We can customize the embosser to include your words and/or logo. Keep in mind that the logo should not be too detailed, because the finer details might not show when you are embossing and then that part will smudge into each other.
The embossers we have are hand-held paper embossers. It is comfortable to use and light to carry around with you and it works best on standard bond paper (80-100gsm). It is not recommended to use any thicker paper, because of a risk that the embossing plates can be forced out of alignment if the paper is too thick. Our embossers are not suitable for leather or fabric
We have the 41mm round embosser, the 51mm round embosser and the 51 mm x 25 mm rectangle embossers available. If you have one of our embossing machines, you can swap out the holders. For example, you can use a 41 mm holder and then swap it out with a 51 mm holder if you need to use different artwork.
